The way I see it, Love is Love. Gender has nothing to do with it. So what if you are a guy and you want to be with another guy, if you love that person why should it matter that they are male? Same for if you are a girl and you want to be with another girl. If you want to be with her then you should be with her. I honestly don’t understand why people frown upon homosexuality and I feel sorry for the people who don’t understand that love is one of the most powerful forces out there and you cant stop it.
To all the Gays/Lesbians/Bis/Trans people out there, I want to let you know that I support you. I think you should be allowed to be with whomever you wish.I don’t believe it is a sin; God wouldn’t have made you that way if it were a sin, right?
I also want to tell you that I can relate to you, sort of. I mean I’m judged and frowned upon as well. Not for my sexual orientation, but for my religious beliefs. People tend to assume that because I am Christian I am very judgmental of others and that I’m all “God this God that no homosexuals!” I’m not allowed to read my Bible in school and I can wear a shirt that has guns all over it but I can’t wear a shirt that says a bible verse. So I can understand how it feels to be viewed in a negative life and to be judged constantly.
To all the religious people out there who hate on homosexuals let me say this:
God told us to love one another: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (NIV John 13:34-35)
And if you can’t do as God commanded and love everyone, and if you still view homosexuals as “sinners” then take a look at these verses:
Romans 5:8 (NIV) says, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
John 3:16-17 (NIV) says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
Basically those two verses mean that God loves EVERYONE on this Earth so much that he died to cleanse us of all sin. We are all “sinners” but we have all been forgiven of our sins. So there is no logic to homosexual hate because if it were a sin, God has forgiven them, and regardless God wants us to love everyone as he has done.
I apologize for making this a super long, super religious post, but I wanted to make my point.
I love you all and God bless :D
