I asked my friend who is visiting if he wanted to do anything special before I have to work today. He said “I don’t know” and so I jokingly said, “Haha I’ll take that as a no.” And so I awkwardly walked off. Then my dad was talking to him and he complained that I walked out on him and it’s like dude, you didn’t give me a straight answer and shrugged me off so yeah I left. So he sent my mom over to me to try and get me to go do something with him. Ugh. If you want to do something then tell me. If you feel bad for being a dick earlier then just apologize, don’t send my mom to me.

Give me a Hannigram fic in which Hannibal isn’t really a fan of sports, but Will Graham happens to love sports as much as Hannibal loves Opera and fine cuisine. Since Virginia doesn’t have any teams in the NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB or MLL; Will happens to be a big supporter of the Baltimore teams and ends up spending quite a lot of time in Baltimore just so he can enjoy the games. Hannibal keeps bumping into him in public and thinks perhaps Will is buying time until their appointment or is debating whether to visit Hannibal or not; he doesn’t realize that it’s really because Will mentally kicks himself if he misses a game.

Just imagine a scene in which Will is at his house, fixing a boat motor, while listen to the game on his radio. Bottom of the ninth, Orioles are up by one against the Yankees. And Hannibal walks in to see Will half-focused on the motor, his dogs huffing slightly at the radio, as Will mumbles annoyed comments whenever a player makes a dumb play. Things such as “Come on what sort of throw was that Gonzalez? You’re letting them walk all over us! Bottom of the ninth, we gotta hold on to our lead! Stop throwing shit and let’s strike them out!”

Or imagine a scene in which Will is trying to explain a sport, like football, to Hannibal (because Hannibal wants to attempt to understand Will’s love for sports). The two of them are sitting on the couch in Will’s house, watching Will’s small TV while enjoying lukewarm beer. And Will’s trying to explain what a blitz is when suddenly Adkins manages to tackle one of the Giants’ players and prevents him from getting a touchdown causing Will to jump up and shout excitedly. And Hannibal would be annoyed with the whole affair: find the food and poor beer gross and Will’s intense reactions to the game obnoxious; but that’s not the case. Instead he finds the whole thing rather charming as he realizes that he’s getting to see a side of Will not many others have seen. And suddenly the beer doesn’t taste so bad after all.
